Frequently asked questions.

What is Bio-Energetic Testing?

Bio-energetic testing is a non-invasive way of looking at how your body’s energy system is functioning. Using specialized equipment, gentle frequency signals are sent through the body, and the system measures how you respond. The results give us a “map” of potential stress or imbalance in areas like digestion, detox, immune function, and nutrient needs, and can help highlight those not-so-obvious underlying issues that might be contributing to how you feel. It does not diagnose or treat disease, but it can offer insight into where your body may be asking for more support, so we can create more targeted recommendations for food, lifestyle, and supplements.

So….are you like a health coach? Or a nutritionist?

I’m a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP). That means I focus on foundational, bio-individual nutrition and lifestyle support—things like digestion, hydration, sleep, stress, blood sugar balance, and targeted supplementation when appropriate.

I’m also not the “drill sergeant” style of health coach. I’m not here to police your day, count your burpees, or reprimand you for eating potato chips. My role is to help you understand what your body is communicating, identify the most important levers to pull, and build a plan that’s realistic, sustainable, and supportive—with guidance, accountability, and adjustments as we go.

Most importantly, I take a root-cause approach. Instead of chasing symptoms, we look for the reasons you’re not feeling like yourself—your patterns, triggers, and the foundations that may be out of balance—so you can feel better, function better, and move toward the best version of you in a way that fits your real life.

I’m not a licensed dietitian or medical provider, so I don’t diagnose, treat, or prescribe. Instead, I help you connect symptoms to root-cause patterns and create a clear action plan you can actually follow.

What is the Food sensitivity test by KBMO Diagnostics (FIT)?

The FIT employs unique methods that detect both IgG antibody and Immune Complexes together to determine the reactivity of your blood against up to 176 foods that most frequently yield reactions. Measuring IgG and Immune Complexes together increases the sensitivity over other tests which measure IgG alone.

What kinds of concerns do you commonly support?

I don’t work in a way that chases symptoms—but clients often come to me when they’re dealing with things like:

  • Insomnia or poor sleep quality

  • Digestive issues (bloating, reflux, constipation/diarrhea, discomfort)

  • Hormone imbalance symptoms (PMS, irregular cycles, low energy, mood shifts)

  • Headaches or migraines

  • Skin concerns (breakouts, rashes, inflammation)

  • Food sensitivities or suspected triggers

  • Concerns about blood sugar and metabolic health (pre-diabetes, insulin resistance, or a family history of diabetes)

  • Concerns about cardiovascular markers like high blood pressure or high cholesterol

  • Feeling “off,” stuck, or not like themselves—even when labs look “normal”

My focus is always a root-cause approach that supports the body through the foundations: sleep, stress, nutrition, blood sugar balance, and digestion. When those inputs are supported consistently, the body is much more capable of functioning like a fine-tuned, well-oiled machine—and symptoms often improve as a result.

Do you create meal plans?

I can absolutely provide nutritional guidance, food recommendations, and recipe ideas based on your goals and what works best for your body.

That said, if you’re looking for a structured, day-by-day meal plan, you may be better served working with a registered dietitian or nutritionist who specializes in that style of support.

As an Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), my focus is less about rigid meal plans and more about making sure your body can actually digest, absorb, and utilize the nutrients in the food you’re eating. In other words, we work on optimizing digestion and foundations—because a “perfect” meal plan won’t help much if your system isn’t ready to process it. And yes—supporting digestion often starts before the food even reaches your mouth (stress state, nervous system, hydration, timing, etc.).

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, I do not accept insurance.

Most insurance plans only reimburse services provided by licensed medical providers (like physicians) or certain credentialed practitioners (often registered dietitians), and Nutritional Therapy Practitioner services typically aren’t covered. To keep things simple and transparent, I operate as a self-pay practice, so you always know exactly what your investment is upfront.

If you’d like to use HSA/FSA funds, you may be able to—depending on your plan. I can provide an itemized receipt you can submit, but reimbursement is not guaranteed and varies by provider.

Who is this for (and who is it not for)?

I work with a wide range of clients—including adults and children. That said, the most important thing is that we’re a good fit and that my approach matches what you’re looking for. During the first consultation, we’ll talk through your goals, your history, and what support you need, and we’ll decide together whether working together makes sense.

This is for you if you want:

  • a root-cause, whole-body approach (not quick fixes)

  • practical support with nutrition + lifestyle foundations

  • a plan that’s realistic, sustainable, and personalized

This may not be a fit if you’re looking for:

  • medical diagnosis, treatment, or prescriptions

  • a strict meal plan or a “one-size-fits-all” program

  • someone to police your choices or push extremes

If you’re unsure, start with the free consultation—it’s the easiest way to get clarity.
